工业企业电力负荷对供电可靠性的要求不同，为使供配电系统达到技术上合理和经济上的节约，故将电力负荷分为三类。

类负荷：中断发电会造成人身伤亡危险或重大设备损坏且难以修复，或给政治上和经济上造成重大损失者。

类负荷：中断供电将长生大量废品，大量材料报废，大量减产，或将发生重大设备损坏事故，但采取适当措施能够避免者。

根据上述电力负荷性质，对供配电提出基本要求如下：

一类负荷：要求采用两个独立的电源供电。所谓“两个独立电源”是指其中一个电源发生事故或因检修而停电，不至于影响另一个电源继续供电，以保证供电的连续性。

二类负荷：要求采用双回路供电，即两条线路供电（包括工作线路、备用和联络线路）。当采用二回线路有困难时，允许用一回专用线路供电。

Class II Load: Double circuit power supply is required, that is, two lines power supply (including working lines, standby and contact lines). When it is difficult to use the second circuit line, it is allowed to use the one-circuit special line for power supply.

三类负荷：供电无特殊要求，这类用户供电中断时影响较小，但在不增加投资情况下也应尽力提高供电的可靠性。
