    锂辉石是主要含锂矿物之一，又称2型锂辉石。单斜晶系，晶体常呈柱状、粒状或板状。颜色呈灰白、灰绿、翠绿、紫色或黄色等。玻璃光泽，条痕无色。硬度6.57，密度3.033.22g/cm3。锂辉石主要产于富锂花岗伟晶岩生矿物有石英、钠长石、微斜长石等。晶体在加热或被紫外线照射时会改变颜色，在阳光作用下也会失去光泽。焙烧至1000左右时迅速转变为β型锂辉石，并具热裂性质。

      锂辉石按用途、化学成分和冶炼工艺要求分为三类：化工用锂辉石、陶瓷用锂辉石、低铁锂辉石。

      陶瓷工业：在陶瓷坯体中加入锂辉石，可提高陶瓷制品的强度、密度、耐酸性及耐热急变性能，可降低产品吸水率和线收缩率。在釉料和熔块中加入适量的锂辉石，能降低产品的热膨胀系数，提高釉料的高温流动性、降低粘度，提高釉面白度、光泽度、硬度、以及耐腐蚀性，提高产品档次，同时使产品具有成品美观、经久耐用、废品率低等特点。

      冶金工业：在冶金铸造砂中加入锂辉石，能够消除铸件的脉纹缺陷，减少或消除铸件热膨胀缺陷、气体缺陷，并起到抗粘砂作用；在连铸保护渣中加入锂辉石后，能够降低保护渣的熔融温度，降低高温粘度，优化润滑条件，能抑制铸件在高温下的氧化、碳化，并且能够实现企业无氟绿色生产；在铸造涂料中加入锂辉石，能增强铸造涂料的悬浮稳定性，提高涂层的透气性，可制得表面质量优于进口铸件的高品质产品。

      耐火工业：在耐火材料中加入锂辉石后，能降低制品的烧结温度，因而是耐火材料行业 烧结矿化剂；能提高耐火材料的机械强度、热震稳定性和体积稳定性；可增强耐火材料的高温耐蚀性，延长耐材的使用寿命；广泛应用于莫来石、堇青石质棚板、坩埚、匣钵、耐热板等中温耐火材料以及耐火浇注料、可塑料、修补料、喷涂料、粘结料、涂刷料等不定形耐火材料。

     墙地砖釉料作用：在釉料(或熔块)配方中加入212锂辉石，替代长石等相应原料，可起到如下作用：降低烧成温度(助熔作用)，节约能源，延长炉龄；降低熔体粘度，提高高温流动性和玻化程度，提高抗污染能力，增强釉面强度和光滑平整度；降低热膨胀系数，克服釉面裂纹，提高热稳定性；提高白度，增强光泽度；提高化学稳定性和耐酸性。

     其他：在传统砂锅工艺的基础上，在材质上按一定比例加入锂辉石，利用锂辉石稳定、耐热的特性，以弥补传统砂锅干烧易裂的缺点。这类砂锅叫新一代陶瓷砂锅，砂锅烧至600投入20水中不裂。锂辉石质耐热砂锅可直接在微波炉内烧烤，也可在冰箱冷藏，在各种热源下炸、炒、炖、煮食品，经受长期的急冷急热条件下的考验仍完好无损，具有良好的热稳定性能。

Refractory industry: after joining spodumene in refractory materials, can reduce the sintering temperature of the products, thus sintering mineralizer refractory industry preferred;Can improve the mechanical strength of refractory and thermal shock resistance and volume stability.Can enhance the high temperature and corrosion resistance of the refractory material, prolong the service life of refractory material;Are widely used in the mullite, cordierite qualitative shed board, crucible, sagger, hot plate temperature of refractory materials and refractory castable, plastic, repair materials, spray coating, binding material, coating material such as monolithic refractories.
